Financial Analyst

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field

  • MBA a plus but not required

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Expert proficiency in Excel highly preferred

  • 1-2 years of in Financial Analysis experience preferred

  • Solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts financial analysis for client's national housing portfolio, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models

  • Assist with ongoing analysis of operations and performance of the existing housing portfolio, including performance vs. pro-forma

  • Construct, manipulate, and continuously modify Excel-based models to calculate returns including IRR, NPV, and cash returns

  • Support the transaction process in order to complete due diligence on targeted transactions, from acquisition to disposition

  • Prepare and review a variety of analysis regarding existing portfolio of properties, including but not limited to budgets, operating statements, appraisals, market surveys and studies

  • Create public-private venture strategies

  • Conduct analyses to address complex financial issues and determine financial deal viability

  • Assist with planning and policy issues

  • Willingness to learn, demonstrate, and apply better methods of analyzing real estate transactions

  • Provides support consistent with all aspects of determining project feasibility.

  • Assist with the design, implementation expansion and continuous improvement of portfolio management

  • Assist in preparing briefings, participate in meetings and provide technology support for databases, web solutions and benchmarking future decision making

Data Analyst

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or Mathematics with analytics focus

  • Advanced to expert Excel proficiency 

  • 1-2 years of Data, Finance, or Economic Analysis experience preferred

  • DoD or Federal real property lifecycle business policies, practices & procedures experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Army Data Systems - HMA, RPLANS, HQIIS, ISR, or eMH a plus  


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Ability to assemble, communicate and present information clearly 

  • Ability to manage large data sets with accuracy

  • A strong combination of analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and reporting acumen

  • A solid understanding of data mining & big data techniques

  • Must exhibit strong analytical/critical thinking skills 

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for maintaining client/ consultant relationship

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conducts data analysis for client's national housing portfolio, including the creation of detailed large data set models

  • Solve complex questions asked by client through modeling large data sets

  • Take responsibility for analyzing data from a designated number of sites, ensuring any variances are identified, investigated, and corrected

  • Extract actionable insights from large databases

  • Construct, manipulate, and continuously modify Excel-based models

  • Prepare and review a variety of analysis regarding existing portfolio of properties, including but not limited to budgets, operating statements, appraisals, market surveys and studies 

  • Conduct analyses to address complex financial issues and determine financial deal viability 

  • Willingness to learn, demonstrate, and apply better methods of analyzing financial real estate transactions

  • Assist with the design, implementation expansion and continuous improvement of portfolio management

  • Assist in preparing briefings, participate in meetings and provide technology support for databases, web solutions and benchmarking future decision making  

  • Conduct Life Cycle analysis, facility investment requirements & engineering reviews using Economic Soft

  • Review key metrics, provide input to master plans Data analysis/input from various databases for complex financial models, budgets, analysis, and research

  • Primarily remote support candidate must be local to the National Capital Region or willing to relocate
