ARMY ENERGY INITIATIVES TASK FORCE

Energy

To achieve an energy-secure future, the US Army plans and executes large-scale renewable energy (RE) projects by utilizing public-private partnerships and leveraging third party financing.  This mission is led by the Army’s Energy Initiatives Task Force (EITF), the entity responsible for the Army’s goal of deploying 1 Giga-Watt (GW) of RE projects by 2025. Concourse was selected by the Army’s prime contractor to join its team supporting the EITF.  Concourse supports the Portfolio Assessments Division, the group responsible for conducting initial installation assessments and opportunity risk assessments for ventures identified as high potential projects.  Concourse’s role includes assessing project opportunities; evaluating utility rate structures; recommending optimal business models; conducting installation site visits; engaging installation management and energy management leads; and identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
